Brake Booster Discount

Ok, even though money is scarce, I bought the brake booster, since it was a hell of a deal at $145 and it included a new master cylinder. I’ll eat ketchup sandwiches for a few days – no biggie. It would definitely help if I could sell some of the old parts. The good news is that even if this PayPal shit falls through, I’ve still got a lens to sell. (T.C. – $11030)

Of course, the ol’ lady is trying to buy an iPhone right now, so that’ll end up costing me more in the long run.

OH, and the camera I sold in May for $1300 which was to offset some of these costs… Still waiting for PayPal to fix their mistakes. Yeah, that’s great.

Money Trouble

Well, not so much trouble, but averaging it out this month doesn’t allow me to splurge on parts.  Plus, the parts I need are a little pricey at the moment.  I had to pay a big insurance premium and buy my bi-annual shirts and pants.

On a better note, I’m taking a new job which pays considerably better, and my saved up vacation time will basically give me a $2000 bonus for quitting my existing job.  (Of course, my current company has pulled some real dickhead maneuvers before, so while I’m expecting the cash, I’m not going to spend it just yet.)  There’s also the matter of not being super sure about when to expect my first check from the new gig (could be up to 3 weeks), so I’m having to tighten the reigns for the moment, which means no new steering wheel, brake booster, brake lines, etc. for the time being.
